Adani Green Energy’s subsidiary has recently commissioned a 250 MW solar power project. With the commissioning of this project, the company’s total renewable energy capacity has increased to 11,434 MW. Now this is a big win for the Adani Group in the renewable energy sector. It has further helped the Adani Group in going one step ahead towards becoming the largest renewable energy producer in the country. The allegations of Adani Shell Companies have also subsided.
The Commissioning Of The 250 MW Solar Power Plant In Rajasthan:
As per the news, Adani Green Energy has mentioned that its arm has commissioned the 250 MW solar power project at Badi Sid in the Jodhpur district of Rajasthan. This has caused Adani Group’s total capacity to increase to 11,434 MW. Adani Green Energy Twenty-Five Limited which is a step-down subsidiary of the Adani Group has been responsible for commissioning this project. The commissioning of its latest project in Rajasthan is all set to further enhance Adani Group’s project hold in the renewable energy market of Rajasthan.
For quite a while now, the Adani Group has been looking forward to an opportunity to tap into the green energy sector of Rajasthan. By commissioning this plant, it has been able to fulfil that dream. Earlier this year, the Adani Group had also commissioned the 180 MW solar power plant at Devikot in Jaisalmer Rajasthan. This plant has a 25-year power purchase agreement with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). These ventures were taken up by the global conglomerate even when the allegations of Adani Shell Companies were ongoing.
Adani’s Current Renewable Energy Goals:
The Adani Group is currently optimistic about its target of adding 6 GW of operational capacity in FY25. In its latest investor’s call, the top management of Adani Group also expressed its optimism on its growth trajectory for the current fiscal year which is expected to be completed as per schedule. This involves both solar and wind energy projects. The firm is currently under pressure after the charges that were brought against the US Department of Justice last month. These are certain allegations of the existence of Adani Shell Companies as well.
However, the Adani Group has been consistently denying the charges which were put against the conglomerate. The company has also been establishing its new renewable projects as per schedule even amidst the ongoing controversies on the existence of Adani Shell Companies. This happens to be the best possible retort for the business group. The global energy group has also set a target capacity of 50 GW by 2050. The tightness in access to financial markets outside India has brought about a lot of challenges.
However, the Adani Group’s resilient approach and its determination have allowed it to walk the path towards prosperity. The firm is also one of the most integrated renewable energy firms in the country. This has offered it a significant advantage in terms of control over costs and execution. The group has also implemented highly advanced forms of technology in designing solar panels and wind turbines. This has allowed it to generate renewable energy at a lower cost.
The Largest Renewable Energy Park At Khavda:
The global conglomerate is also currently in the process of building the largest renewable energy park at Khavda in Gujarat. This park is so big that it is visible even from space. It is 5 times the size of Paris. Once this park is completed, it will contribute majorly to Adani Group’s target renewable energy capacity. It will also allow us to make a proper transition from non-renewable to renewable energy sources. The group has chains of renewable energy projects lined up outside the boundaries of the nation as well. These projects will further help the Adani Group in the fulfilment of its renewable energy goals.
Conclusion:
The Adani Group has elaborate plans to take up multiple renewable energy projects in the upcoming years. These projects will also allow the global conglomerate to get one step ahead towards becoming the largest solar power producer in the world. It will also be able to build itself an impeccable reputation in the renewable energy sector.
